Fine art photography by Genaro Andrade
I was born in Mexico on August 15, 1958. My family and I emigrated to the United States in 1968. I lived in Los Angeles California where I attended Hollenbeck Junior High and Roosevelt High School.
I was 22 years old when most of my family and I moved to San Jose California where I meet my beautiful wife Norma. We have two wonderful kids, Adam and Brandi, who we love so much. We lived in San Jose for 32 years but my wife and I decided to move to Lincoln California in 2014.
I'm passionate about many things, but my top three are my family, landscape photography and writing. It wasn't until my freshman year in high school that I discovered my love for photography and writing. It's something that I really enjoy doing the most. I actually never pursued landscape photography full time after high school, but nevertheless, I kept on taking pictures on and off (mainly as a hobby) for about 30 years.
It wasn't until my wife and I decide to go on vacation up north to Oregon in 2010 that I rediscover my passion for photography. Oregon offers plenty of sceneries to photograph, such as beautiful water falls, rivers, mountains, beach sceneries and awesome sunsets . It was a wonderful and exciting experience for me, I loved it. I decided at that time that I had to follow my dreams and become a professional landscape photographer. My love for photography was to strong to let it die so I had to get back to what makes me happy, and that is to take pictures of the most beautiful sceneries that our planet has to offer us.
I enjoy photographing people, weddings, sports, nature, wild life and landscapes. I enjoy any type of photography, however, my favorites are landscapes and nature. Every type of photography has it's own challenges, but I'm always ready for new challenges when they present themselves. As photographers, we are always being challenged by mother nature, it's the beauty of photography and that is what makes it so exciting. There's nothing more exciting than to capture beautiful sunsets and landscape scenes of the west.
Don't ever be afraid to follow your dreams, after all, you only live once. I hope that you will enjoy my landscape photography as much as I did in photographing them.
